Built 1562-1571. Cost over $30 million in today’s currency

Commissioned by a wife for her husband. Financed by a son for his father

Became a “dormitory” for Mughals (over 156 graves on site). They ruled in India from 1526-1858

As usual lot´s of constructions at this monument. There are lot´s of different ways to take heavy materials up on a higher level!!!

After the tour a nice picnic lunch with wine, Indian ice cream, fruit, coffee and a cake. Nice!
