Namasté!
The penultimate tour took us to Old Delhi. This is a very busy area and crowded with people, animals, tuk-tuks, shops and religious places.
This man taking a shower just close to the place I met my 7cities group.
Spices are dried on the roof of the Spice Market
Indian man working very hard transporting these heavy barrels.
Can you see the caos? Can you feel the smell of everything? Can you hear the loud noise?
We went up on a rooftop and saw a mosque that British sold to a Hindu family during British Raj. You could also see Chandni Chowk . ( famous street in Old Delhi)
Great way of getting around in Old Delhi!
This man is having a bath or....`?
We went to a Jain temple. You had to take off leather things, take off shoes and wash your hands before entering. No women having period were allowed!
Narrow streets! I did "Delhibycycle" here with Lars and Ann from Sweden some weeks ago. They liked it a lot. Fun experince!
As usual lot¨s of colours! Carina Näsholm would proberably love this place!!
This street is famous since the time of Shah Jahan as delhi's gold, silver and jewellery market. You will be amazed to see that the jewellery here is sold by weight rather than by the piece - it seems no great value is placed on the craft of the jewellers themselves.
Old Delhi´s injured birds are being treated at the Jain Bird Hospital. How cute!
Tour ended outside the Red Fort.
Great group! People from all around the world America, Japan, China, Sweden, Denmark, France, Holland, and UK. So much fun! I have learnt a lot about New Delhi and the history of India. A big thank you to all of you!
Only one tour left - my tour with three 7cities friends. I am looking forward to that!!
